Building on Tradition. Geauxing for the Future.

As the Louisiana State University chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), we are committed to fulfilling NSBE's core mission: to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact their communities.

What to expect?

  • Professional Growth and Networking: You'll get exclusive access to career development workshops, resume reviews, and networking opportunities with professionals from top companies. Attending NSBE's regional and national conferences will give you a direct path to securing internships and job offers.

  • Academic Support and Community: Our chapter provides a supportive family of peers and mentors who are committed to your success. You'll have access to group study sessions and resources that will help you excel in your engineering coursework.

  • Leadership and Impact: You'll have the chance to develop your leadership skills by serving on committees or the executive board. You can also make a difference in the Baton Rouge community by mentoring younger students and promoting STEM education through our outreach programs.
